FACTS
From November 20th to 23rd in 2023, AHK Romania, in cooperation with BME and with the support of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Munich, Frankfurt, Duisburg and Pfalz, will conduct a Sourcing Tour in Romania on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection.
With its well-qualified workforce, proximity to other European markets and good framework conditions, Romania is becoming an increasingly attractive nearshoring location for German companies, not only for manufacturing but also for research and development.
The Sourcing Event offers a combination of different modules (information workshop in Germany, briefing in Romania, networking event, individual business meetings and company visits) and is intended to expose the potential of the Romanian market and facilitate initial qualified contacts between German buyers and Romanian suppliers.
At the heart of the trip, besides the company visits, are individual B2B meetings with pre-identified potential suppliers from Romania. The interlocutors are carefully selected on the basis of the goals and needs of the individual German buyers.

· During the day: Arrival of the individual participants and arrival of the delegation in Bucharest, check-in at the hotel, pick-up from the airport if necessary.
· Evening: Briefing on Romania (participants: GTAI, German Embassy Bucharest, AHK Romania, German company in Romania with field report, selected board members etc. incl. dinner together)

· Half-day networking event at the hotel in Bucharest, incl. joint lunch with company presentations · In the afternoon: B2B talks for the German companies · "Networking event" with local professional audience

· Further B2B talks for the German companies · Visits and talks with the selected or registered Romanian suppliers / object visits

Product groups and companies in focus:
The tour is addressed to German companies from the following industries: Automotive, metalworking and processing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering / electronics, plastics / rubber, technical textiles, IT as well as logistics services, mining and raw materials industry with specific procurement needs. The target group is primarily small and medium-sized German companies (SMEs).

Prices for Buyers:
As the project is part of the market development program for SMEs and subject to the de minimis regulation, companies' own contribution for participation in the project is between EUR 250 and EUR 500 (net), depending on the size of the company.
