After the success of previous editions, BME in collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce Abroad from Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia (AHKs), the German-African Business Association (AV), and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf (IHKs), will organize the 4th Procurement initiative Maghreb on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) as part of the Market Development Program for SMEs (MEP) of GTAI.

"This means that our buyers can once more participate in a major international matchmaking event in 2025. This will give them direct access to suppliers in exciting procurement markets. We are proud to be able to organize the purchasing initiative again in 2025" emphasizes Olaf Holzgrefe, Head of International at BME. 

In recent years, the North African procurement region, particularly in the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors, has become an increasingly attractive sourcing market. However, the market's potential often remains undiscovered by German companies. The initiative aims to significantly improve long-term market access to North Africa for German companies.

In contrast to previous formats, the BME is planning to implement a roadshow concept at three different locations for the first time this year. The kick-off will be the B2B talks in Frankfurt am Main, followed by further B2B matchmakings at the IHK Düsseldorf, and finally in Berlin, parallel to the 60th BME Symposium.

In addition, the BME and its AHK partners will conduct three online preparatory seminars in 2025 – one each for Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. The aim is to inform suppliers about the project, processes, and to provide information from the customer's perspective on topics such as quality and requirements from German buyers, AHK and BME.

First steps to participate in this event 
➀ Register first as buyer or supplier for BME Matchmaking Service free of charge.
➁ Fill out and send the questionnaire to BME. Mark the events you are interested in.
➂ BME will inform you as soon as you get access to the profiles, can select your preferred B2B partners and
    register for the events.
