In partnership with the German Federal Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME), Topsoe, a Danish company and world leader in carbon emission reduction technology, is sourcing strategic mass production supplier from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Northern Italy to optimize the supply chain for their Power-to-X business.

Topsoe is developing the world's most advanced and first industrial-scale manufacturing facility, set to produce SOEC electrolyzer solutions, crucial in the global energy transition and used in green hydrogen production. The inaugural factory is located in Herning, Denmark, and Topsoe expects to announce the location of a second U.S. factory by the end of 2023.

The energy transition necessitates rapid decarbonization of global energy systems, requiring companies to take radical steps to decarbonize their supply chains. While Topsoe produces many necessary carbon emission reduction solutions, they are seeking to further optimize their manufacturing processes and decarbonize their supply chain.

They intend to accomplish this by collaborating with ambitious and innovative suppliers committed to decarbonization, capable of providing the necessary solutions to ensure products are responsibly sourced, produced, and shipped.

Potential suppliers have the opportunity to apply to become a leading partner with TOPSOE on their ambitious journey to decarbonize industries that cannot be easily electrified. Only suppliers that offer the best and most innovative products, backed by a commitment to responsible manufacturing and the energy transition, will be selected.

Suppliers confident that they meet the criteria should apply by filling the RFI questionnaire. Subsequent to evaluation, the best companies will be invited to meet with TOPSOE in-person in Munich on 13 September 2023 to discuss the opportunities in more detail. The BME's project partner  are the VDMA Power-to-X for Applications, AHK Austria, AHK Poland, Chamber of Commerce Germany-Switzerland and CzechTrade.

To build the optimal supply chain, TOPSOE is seeking suppliers capable of delivering the following commodities:

• Metal work & parts: Sheet Metal Fabrication, Laser Cutting, Welding of Parts, Bending, Stamping, Deep
   drawing, Pressing, Light Forging, Precision Fabrication, and Assembly.

• Machining, Turning & Milling: Turned parts, Milled parts, Fittings, Flanges.

• Casting: Lost wax Investment/green sand casting - Stainless Steel (max. 20kg/each piece x 5,000 pieces
   per year).

• Insulation: Insulation for Piping/Equipment.

• Module/Pressure Part/Prefabricators Workshops: Piping Skid Manufacturers, with Piping bulk
   materials supplies, and assembly and testing.

• Other: Sheet metalwork, Pipe Bending, Tubes, Stainless Steel & Carbon Steel Flexible Piping (1_1/2'' to 3'')

• Instumentation, E&I Bulk Materials: Instrumentation Package Suppliers, Cables & JB's, Electrical Heat
   Tracing, Lightning

• Electronics: Power supply units, Inverters,  Converters, Controls Cabinets, PLC, Customized Power
   Containers, Heavy Duty Industrial Transformers

• Miscellaneous: Heat Exchangers, Electrical Process Heaters
